Troop 377 sent two crews to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico this year. We also had visitors from Troops 333, 315, and 358. This is their story.

For the first couple of meals they gave us at base camp, all the staff would gather around a bell and shout the Philmont Ranger Song. Most of us couldn't understand it. All of us wanted to know what they were saying. So this is how it goes.

Where the old Rayado flows
Where the rain comes a'seepin'
And the waters say hello.

I want to wake up in the morning
With my socks all wringing wet
For it brings back fondest memories
That a Ranger can't forget

I want to hike once more the canyon floor
